Mary Ellen Chastain

September 28, 1963 ~ October 10, 2023

Maryellen Chastain was a devoted loving wife to James Dewitt Chastain for 39 years. Dewitt and Maryellen had one son, James Jackie Chastain. Her son and her husband were her 2 favorite men. She loved them with her whole heart.Maryellen worked at Atlanta Kubota for the last 10 years. She would spend her days overseeing the administrative work for the store. Maryellen was a hardworking woman; she could do anything and everything if she put her mind to it. She was great at cooking, crafts, and was a hard worker. She did whatever she could for the people she loved.Maryellen was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and daughter. To know Maryellen was to love her. Many of you have reached out and asked how you can help our family during this time. We appreciate your thoughtfulness, and we ask for your prayers that we may find peace. In lieu of flowers we would appreciate anyone who would like to contribute please donate to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD)Foundation. Thank you so much for your love, understanding, support, and care.

  3. Mary Ellen was more than a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and hard worker. She was an amazing person who always put others before herself!

She worked very hard, not only at her career, but gave all she had to anything she was involved in, especially her family.

Mary Ellen was my sister. I will miss our long conversations, our laughter and our visits!! I’ll always love you Mary Ellen, my heart is completely broken.

    Love,
    Debbie
