Peggy Mathis Morris

Peggy Mathis Morris of Acworth, GA passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. John (Mildred) Mathis; her beloved husband of 48 years, Jack Morris; her daughter, Jan Morris Williams; her brother, John Mathis, Jr.; and her son-in-law, Mike Bartlett.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Cathy Bartlett; her grandson, Cleve Bartlett; her sister, Nancy Rush (Thad); her brother, Jim Mathis (JoAnn); and many cherished nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Amedisys Hospice Care of Cartersville, Georgia, for the compassionate care, kindness, and love shown to Peggy during her final weeks. Your thoughtfulness and dedication will never be forgotten.

The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Mary Barfield of Cartersville, Georgia, for her compassionate care and friendship throughout the years.

In accordance with Peggy’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. 

In lieu of flowers, please honor Peggy’s wishes by making a memorial contribution to the charity of your choice or by simply keeping her family in your thoughts and prayers.
