A I Beard

A.I. Beard passed peacefully in his sleep after 99 years of life on September 25, 2021 in Cumming, Georgia, surrounded by family. A.I. is survived by his son Darold Kevin Beard and Larry Beard. A.I. was born on January 28, 192, in Helen, Georgia to parents Carrie Harris and Roscoe Beard. He served in the Navy during WWII. He married Louise Osbourn Beard in 1945. They had two sons together: Darold and Anthony Beard. A.I. enjoyed hunting, golfing, gardening, and baseball. He loved following the Baltimore Oreoles and coached his sons’ little league teams. He was a precious father and loving grandfather, adored by everyone he met. The funeral is scheduled for 2:00 on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. The funeral will be followed by a visitation in the Columbarium. All are welcome to attend and celebrate A.I.’s life. A.I. was particularly fond of red and orange, so we will wear bright colors rather than black. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to She Is Safe (sheissafe.org/give).
