Mary Frances Brown was born on May 25,1935 to kind and loving parents: Sadie Brown & Robert Brown. She was the second of three children born to the couple. Mary Frances admired her older sister, Mrs. Vera Brown (Anderson) and adored her baby brother, Mr. Willie Albert Brown Jr.As a young woman, she met and married her husband David Daniel and they wed in 1951. She loved and cared for three lovely children: Reba, Floeta, & Lewis 'Bud'.She worked tirelessly to provide for her family while also pursuing more education. She completed her studies and became a Registered Dietician at Grady Memorial & Hugh Spalding Hospitals. There she continued to nourish others for more than 20 years before she retired in 1997.In retirement, she traded in one nickname: "Ms. D” for another, "Granny". She was loved and admired by everyone that crossed her path and she never met a stranger. She is still affectionately referred to as “Granny” by everyone that knows her.Granny dedicated her time to many worthy endeavors including pottery, jewelry-making, & crocheting. However, her favorite pastime was spending time with family. Nothing was more important than that. The affection and dedication that she showered on her grandchildren & great grandchildren is unparalleled. She played an extraordinary loving role in each of their lives.Granny passed away peacefully after a hard-fought battle against lung cancer. She will be sorely missed by all.Behind to cherish her memory are daughter Reba Street (Donald), son Lewis Daniel (Valerie), grandchildren Stephanie, Damon, Jennifer, Steven, Larry Jr, Tiffanie, Kimberlee, Charles, Bernard & Corey & twenty great grandchildren. She also leaves an extended family and a host of friends.She was preceded in death by her parents (Sadie & Robert Brown), her siblings Vera Anderson & Willie Albert Jr, and her darling daughter & son-in-law (Floeta McGinty & Larry McGinty Sr.)
