Christopher Kurt Brakhage

Chris Brakhage, 34, of Atlanta, Georgia, died at Emory Hospital of cirrhosis of the liver on September 16, 2023. He was born in Atlanta in 1989 to Heidi Recka and Dennis Brakhage (and Tanya Brakhage) and had two half-siblings on his father's side (Lindsey Brakhage and Kevin Brakhage). Chris attended Georgia College and State University for his Bachelor's Degree, and then attended Georgia Tech for almost two years - majoring in Computer Science. He worked as a Web Developer and Computer Programmer until his death. Chris was an organ/tissue donor and will hopefully be able to help others in need. Chris had a huge heart and was always willing to help others — and continues to give to others even after his death. There will not be a public service for Chris as his family has decided to have a small private celebration of life later this week.
