  1. Budd and I were blessed. We grew up on the same street together starting our friendship in the nursery of FBC Glennville, Ga. where we both met and received our Savior Jesus Christ in early childhood. We enjoyed backyard football, gigging frogs, BB gun wars, pulling pranks, RA’s, Scouts and tennis at Mr Printice’s across from the old drive in…. In the GHS ‘67 Annual, you’ll find Budd balancing me head to head in full football gear. The best I recall, the last time I saw Budd was as he was leaving the campus of Middle Ga College in 1968. However, we stayed in touch across the years and in the last several years in particular shared many hours of laughter and remembering over the phone. Budd didn’t forget much of anything. He had an amazing memory. In the last 6 months, our conversations were frequent. He shared the depth and certainty of his personal walk with Jesus, his love for his family, and appreciation for the blessings of his life. His prayer was that his life, especially the manner in which he was to enter the presence of his Lord would be used to bring Him glory and encourage others to open their hearts to a living relationship with Jesus also.

Budd was so grateful for his family’s and friends’ care of and for him. I grieve with you in our temporary loss. I rejoice with you in confident knowledge of our eternal reunion with Budd and all the family of God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
