Juanita Marie Whitfield, born Juanita Marie Myrick on July 27, 1966, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Juanita Corzen and Albert Myrick. Juanita grew up in Virginia and graduated from Green Run High School in 1983, going on to earn her associate’s degree.In 1987, she married Victor Whitfield, and together they had two beautiful children. Victor's military career led the family to move several times, including to Syracuse, New York, and overseas to Germany. After her divorce in 1996, Juanita moved to Atlanta, where she worked in various administrative positions before finding her passion as a Real Estate Agent. She later settled in Jonesboro, Georgia, where she lived until her passing.Juanita was known for her intelligence, independence, and drive. She had an adventurous spirit, enjoying travel and taking on home renovation projects. But her greatest love and devotion were always to her family. She was deeply involved in her children’s education, extracurricular activities, and the local community.She leaves behind to cherish her memory children Brittany Whitfield and Brandon Whitfield; grandchildren Darien, Donovan, Dimitri, Dallas, Denver, Nylah, and Brielle; siblings Tracy, Annette, Damian, Gerald, Nikita, and Tammy; and many more relatives and friends.Her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her children, friends, and extended family. Juanita’s memory will live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched.
