Mr. Ellis L. Jiles Sr., age 82, of Barnesville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, a brother, his beloved wife Linda Jiles, and his daughter Danielle Brooks.
Ellis is survived by his son, Ellis Jiles Jr. (Courtney); daughters, Gabrielle Braud (Brandon), Lynnette Moody (Bil), and Darlene Hill. He was a proud grandfather to Joshua Goodman (Ashley), Kelsey Bedford (Nick), Megan, Ansley, Daylon, Liam Jiles, and Lil' Ray Beddington (Wanda), along with many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
In addition to his family, Ellis is remembered fondly by his best friend and caretaker, James Ramey, and his special friend, Jewel Taylor.
Ellis was an old soul who found joy in the simple things in life. He loved riding horses, playing his guitar, singing, and he loved to go out dancing. He enjoyed attending church and was the kind of person who never met a stranger.
To know Ellis was truly to love him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Lilla Memorial Baptist Church, 802 GA-36, Barnesville, GA 30204.
