On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, Albis Mora, loving husband and father of six children, passed away at the age of 89. Albis was born in 1931 in Costa Rica to Claudio Mora and Ofelia Rojas. He immigrated to the United States in 1967 with his family because of his talents as a machine specialist. Albis had a 40 year career as a machine specialist.
After retirement, Albis discovered a passion for woodworking. He made several pieces of furniture including headboards, chests, end tables, bookcases and a bassinet. He also refinished furniture giving them a second life with his patience and attention to detail. Albis loved painting, drinking coffee, watching documentaries, and anything having to do with airplanes and aviation. He was known for his infectious smile, wisdom, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Albis was preceded in death by his father, Claudio, and his mother, Ofelia, his siblings, Teresa, Francisco, Alvaro, Sergio, and Wilfrido, and his grandson, Daniel. He is survived by his wife, Lorelly, his six children, Albis Eduardo (Lisa), Roy Allan, Evelyn (Jeff), Antoinette, Wendy (Jose), and Helen (Cesar), his brothers, Guillermo and Gerardo, and his eight grandchildren Jessica (Drew), Nicholas, Jacob, Sean, Sofia, Raquel, Alexander, and Vivian, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A private service was held by the immediate family.
