Alvin Lenard Upton Sept 10, 1950 – Aug 26, 2016
Alvin Lenard Upton was a lifelong resident of Daytona Beach who passed away after a very lengthy illness on August 26, 2016 in Marietta, GA. He was 65. He graduated in the 1968 class of Campbell Senior High School. Alvin became a member of the Plumbers + Fitters Local Union #295 in 1974. Alvin was owner of Alvin Upton Hauling from 1990 until his retirement. He remained self-employed until 2012. He watched a lot of sports and most enjoyed playing his favorite board games chess & checkers. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Neal Upton. His sons: Alvin Jr., John David, Kevin, and stepson George. His brothers: Johnniebee of Texas, and Leon of Daytona Beach. He also leaves his devoted sister Eunice who resides in Atlanta, GA. Alvin was the proud grandpa of Kevin Jr., Keyonte, Jobian, Imani, Heaven Lee, and Olivia. Alvin had many friends, co-workers, classmates, and business associates. He was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church.
The services for Alvin will be held in Marietta, GA on September 10, 2016 at Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill located at 1861 Dallas Highway SW Marietta, GA 30064
