Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Amber Danielle Rampley, 41, was born in Atlanta, GA at Northside Hospital on Saturday, November 6, 1976 to Bill Rampley and Debra Kay Greer Rampley. Five years later she was followed by her instant best friend and soul mate Monique Dionne Rampley. Amber has two older half-siblings Cindy Lynn Townsend & Cathy Leigh Holland.
Amber earned her diploma from Marietta High School in 1995 in Marietta, GA. After graduating from the Roffler Moler Hairstyling College she found her calling making the world beautiful one person at a time. Her passion led her to the bright lights of Los Angeles, CA. Her pioneering spirit led her to take risks and challenge herself to seek out new adventures. Packing up her car she hit the road with her best friend Scott and her dog Critter and began working as a makeup artist and stylist to the stars for Universal Studios on a variety of tv sets and sitcoms.
After a few years Amber began to feel the tug of her Southern roots and family. Returning to Atlanta, GA she continued in her craft working for elite salons and then came to reinvent herself as an entrepreneur, opening her own award-winning salon, Paisley Salon at Serenbe. During her eight years at Paisley Salon her professional flare and sincere love for her clients led to being featured in multiple bridal magazines and Lifestyle Magazine and custom designing looks including the album cover for Zac Brown Band’s Foundation.
While working in the Serenbe community Amber found a passion for riding horses and built a strong bond with her favorite horse Dolly. Amber had the most beautiful relationship with music as did her father. Her greatest days were those dancing in a field at a concert or festival …usually barefoot in a flowy dress with her forever concert buddy Monique.
Amber is remembered as a daughter, sister, friend, artist, hippy, star gazer, music lover and untamed old soul who reveled in bucking convention and keeping her family on their toes. Her infectious laugh and bottomless capacity for love endeared her to everyone who had the fortune to cross paths with her.
On Monday the 21st of March 2018 Amber was greeted and finally reunited with her father where she will now live on in glorious eternity in perfect peace and health. We find comfort in knowing that she is in the presence of our Heavenly Father and by her earthly father’s side.
Please join with us in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 24th from 2:00-5:00 at Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill in Marietta, GA located at 1861 Dallas Hwy. There will be light hors d’oeuvers served during the gathering. In thinking of Amber’s happy spirit we thought it would be wonderful to honor her by dressing in colorful attire.

Amber was a doll! She helped me donate my hair to Great Lengths by Pantene. I had never heard of that foundation but she did. She was the kindest soul and always shared a smile with everyone she met.
Rest In Peace beautiful. Thank you for every moment. Every conversation and so much more. I can’t believe you have ascended to heaven already. I’m survey the heavens rejoice with your arrival. While we try to understand why The Lord allowed you to leave us so soon.

Thank you for the memories Amber
Amber is an unforgettable person now and for eternity. She become a friend not only to Scott but to our family and had met several from Georgia to California. “Ambrose”, as one aunt named her, was sweet, instant friend, great personality, wonderful make up and hair ARTIST. She led a full life in whatever she was doing and will be long remembered by all who knew her. Take the horse and ride off into the sunset dear Amber.
Dear Debbie and Monique, I cannot find the words to express the shock and sadness for the loss of Amber. While I know she will be terribly missed on this earth, I also have to believe that she and Bill are dancing barefoot through the grass atop a sunny mountain bald somewhere! Please know that you both are in my thoughts and prayers. With much love, Bunny Street
Dear Debbie and Monique, I’m so very, very sorry I didn’t know sweet, lovely Amber in her later years. I remember her when she and Monique were very young and you all came to Maryland for Dawn’s wedding in 1984. I wish Larry and I could have stayed together, if for no other reason, to have been able to have had a continuing relationship with all his family. For me, that was the biggest heartbreak of our divorce.
I can’t imagine what you both are going through, but may God surround you with His everlasting love and comfort now and forever. What joy there is now for Bill to have Amber by his side and how wonderful it will be when you all are reunited forever. Much love, your Aunt Janet
Amber was a fellow Curly Girl who kept my rowdy hair in check for over 18 years and I loved her. Hair appointments were treasured girl-time, chat sessions and I considered her a friend. I feel like I know her family from our conversations and I am so sorry for your loss/
