Berenice Claire Bourne

Berenice Claire Bourne passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019 at her home in Marietta, GA surrounded by her family. She was 95. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 29, 1923 to John J. Coyle and Isabelle Trainor Coyle. She is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, John W. Bourne, a son John L. Bourne and a great-grandson William G. Dorval. She attended school and grew up in Pennsylvania and lived and worked in Syracuse, NY before relocating to Newark, DE where she and her husband owned and operated an Ace Hardware Store. In 1983, they retired to Boynton Beach, FL to fish and play golf. Wherever she lived she was an active member of her Church. She was an enthusiastic volunteer and served on several committees and various Association Boards of Directors. She was an avid golfer, loved to sew and had a passion for bridge. She is survived by six children, Marianne Carbone, Cicero, NY, Donna Washburne, Marietta, GA, Sr. Jane Bourne, OSF, Syracuse, NY, Patricia (Donald) Bishop, Watertown, NY, Michael L. Bourne (Patricia), Newark, DE, and Susan Ford, West Grove, PA; 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3401 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Holy Family Catholic Church.
