Brian Metougue Maina was born on April 11, 2003, to his
loving parents, Olive and Robert Maina. He spent his early
childhood in Cameroon before returning to the United
States, where he attended Hiram Elementary, P.B. Ritch
Middle School, and graduated from South Paulding High
School with the Class of 2021.
At age seven, Brian discovered his passion for football,
joining the Hiram Hornets and later the South Paulding
Spartans. He excelled in football, wrestling, and track and
field, earning numerous awards at the state level.
Following high school, Brian attended West Texas A&M
University pursuing a degree in Nursing. In 2024, he
enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, completing
Basic Combat Training and serving as a Private First Class
in Utility Equipment Repair.
Known as “Manaic” among soldiers and “Bull” on the field,
Brian had a smile that made people smile back, an
infectious humor, and a heart always ready to help. He
shared an extraordinary bond with his twin brother
Brandon, and was a loving older brother to Dylan and Alma.
On May 26, 2026, Brian was called home, leaving behind a
family and community who will forever cherish his memory
