Caesar J Quick III

July 1, 1953 ~ May 29, 2019

On the morning of May 29, 2019 at 4:40 am, Caesar James Quick III of Atlanta, GA went home to be with the lord. Caesar James Quick III was born in the Bronx, NY to “Caesar James Quick Jr.” and “Yvonne Quick”. He was an avid mechanic and truck driver who loved living life on the road carefree and fearlessly. He saw life for what it was and made sure to live his life to the fullest and on his own terms, making the best of every day. He utilized life’s challenges as an opportunity to test his limits and capabilities. That helped to shape and mold the rambunctious man of many talents we all knew and loved. At an early age in Caesar’s life, his ambition for automobiles and mechanics was seen at the age of 16. He built his first car using the body of a “Monte Carlo” and named it the “Alibi”. He later came to use his gifts that were self-taught, to help and share with others. He had a natural born love for mechanics and in his spare time he worked on and repaired anything that could be driven. He passed thru the hands of many people, always lending a helping hand and leaving his wisdom along the way. Caesar was very well known for his candid sense of humor and big grin that could light up an entire stadium. He had a way of making light or comedy of every situation. His energy and spirit were contagious and touched the hearts of all who knew, and came into contact with him. May he continue to be loved and remembered this way. Caesar James Quick III is preceded in death by his father “Caesar James Quick Jr.” and his loving sister “Brenda Olive Quick”. He is survived by his mother “Yvonne Quick. His children “Caesar James Quick IV” and “Shavonne Quick-King”. His grandchildren “Dashaun Garrett”, “Davaughn Garrett”, “Jade Quick”, “Diandre Garrett”, “Zariya Quick”, and “Caesar James Quick V. His great grandchildren “Caiden Quick” and “Jaiden Quick”. His brothers “Derrick Quick” and “Kevin Quick”. His sisters “Yvette Hall”, “ Renee Quick-Johnson”, and “Deborah Hill”. His nephew’s “Demond Hall”, “Steven Hill”, “Kevin Quick-Smith” and “Derrick Quick Jr.” His nieces “Joy Hill” and “Audrey Quick”. His Uncle “Milton Moore” and a host of cousins, extended family, friends and loved ones. May you rest in eternal peace daddy! a.k.a “BIG JIM” A public memorial service will be held at the following: SOUTHERN CREMATIONS AND FUNERALS AT CHEATHAM HILL Date: 6/8/2019 Time: 10am – 1pm Location: 1861 Dallas Hwy Marrietta G.A, 30064 Poem Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch, Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
