Ms. Caldonia Smith was born on June 20, 1942 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Sally) Smith. She was the fourth of 12 siblings. She was preceded in death by two of her sisters, Willie Claude “Woody” Carol and Helen Smith Vinson, and six of her brothers, Carl Smith, Jr,, Eddie Robert Smith, Bobby Smith, Morris, Jerry Smith, and Joseph Smith.
Caldonia was raised and educated in Walton County. She was a graduate of Carver High School at the age of 17. During her childhood years, Caldonia joined and dedicated her life at First African Baptist Church in Monroe, GA. After graduating from high school, Caldonia moved to Atlanta where she met Roger Brewster. During their years in Atlanta, Caldonia and Roger was blessed with a son, Timothy Rogers. Caldonia’s only son, Timothy, later blessed her with a grandchild, Quentavious Smith. Timothy Rogers preceded her in death.
Caldonia work at the Curry Market, in Atlanta, as a butcher for more than 20 years. She retired from the Curry Market as a dedicated and valuable worker. After retiring from the Curry Market, she later moved back to her hometown Monroe, GA.
Caldonia enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was a very kind, sweet, and giving person that never met a stranger. She was always smiling and always had a light heart. Those who knew her loved her and she always returned the favor.
After many years of struggling with many health issues, she was freed from the bonds of this earth on Sunday morning, September 1, 2019.
Beautiful memories of a lovely lady will forever remain in the hearts of Grandson: Quentavious Smith; Great-Grandchildren: Nykaiesheya Smith, Adam Printup, Isaiah Spiler, Kaylee Smith, and Narriyah Johnson; Niece and Caregiver: Sabrina King; Sisters: Dorothy Robinson, Mary Nell King, and Millie (Rupel) Knox; Brother: Joseph Henry Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and a multitude of dear friends.
