In Loving Memory of Candida Altagracia Medina

With profound love and tender hearts, we honor the life and memory of our beloved Candida Altagracia Medina, who went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2026.

Candida lived a life rooted in faith, love, family, and community. A devoted Christian, she loved the Lord deeply and found strength, comfort, and fellowship in her faith. She was dearly loved by her church community, where the bonds she formed with her brothers and sisters in Christ became an important and beautiful part of her life.

To her family, Candida was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a steady source of love. She leaves behind five beloved children—two sons and three daughters—eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her story and her legacy forward.

Her loving spirit extended far beyond her immediate family. Candida cherished animals, especially dogs, and her family lovingly counted among her descendants two very special four-legged great-grandchildren who brought her joy and affection. She also leaves a beautiful circle of friends, cousins, aunts, neighbors, church brothers and sisters, and her only remaining sister, all of whom were blessed to share in her life.

Candida had a gift that cannot be measured simply by years: she created connection. Whether through family, friendship, faith, a conversation with a neighbor, or the simple affection shared with an animal, she made room in her heart for others.

Although her physical presence will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that the love she gave does not leave with her. It remains in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, in the stories we will continue to tell, in the friendships she nurtured, in the faith she carried, and in the countless memories that will forever keep her close to us.

Today, we mourn because we loved her. But we also give thanks to God for the blessing of having known her, loved her, laughed with her, prayed with her, and shared this life with her.

Rest peacefully, Candida.

May the Lord who guided you throughout your earthly journey now welcome you into His eternal embrace.

Your love will remain with us, your memory will live among us, and your light will continue through every life you touched.

En amorosa memoria de Candida Altagracia Medina

Con profundo amor y con nuestros corazones llenos de recuerdos, honramos la vida y la memoria de nuestra querida Candida Altagracia Medina, quien partió al encuentro del Señor el 17 de agosto de 2026.

Candida vivió una vida fundamentada en la fe, el amor, la familia y la comunidad. Fue una cristiana devota que amó profundamente al Señor y encontró fortaleza, consuelo y hermandad en su fe. Fue muy querida dentro de su comunidad cristiana, donde sus hermanos y hermanas en Cristo llegaron a formar una parte hermosa e importante de su vida.

Para su familia, Candida fue madre, abuela, bisabuela, hermana, tía, prima y una fuente constante de amor. Deja como legado a cinco hijos amados—dos varones y tres hembras—once nietos y cinco bisnietos, quienes llevarán consigo una parte de su historia, sus enseñanzas y su amor por el resto de sus vidas.

Su corazón amoroso se extendía mucho más allá de su familia inmediata. Candida sentía un cariño muy especial por los animales, particularmente por los perros, y su familia contaba con mucho cariño entre sus descendientes a dos queridos bisnietos de cuatro patas, quienes le regalaron momentos de ternura y alegría. Deja además innumerables amistades, primos, tías, vecinos, hermanos y hermanas de la iglesia, y a su única hermana que aún permanece con nosotros, todos bendecidos por haber compartido una parte de su camino.

Candida poseía un don que no puede medirse simplemente por los años vividos: sabía crear vínculos. A través de su familia, sus amistades, su fe, una conversación con un vecino o el sencillo cariño compartido con un animal, siempre había espacio en su corazón para los demás.

Aunque extrañaremos profundamente su presencia física, encontramos consuelo al saber que el amor que Candida sembró no se marcha con ella. Permanece vivo en sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos, en las historias que seguiremos contando, en las amistades que cultivó, en la fe que llevó consigo y en todos aquellos recuerdos que para siempre la mantendrán cerca de nosotros.

Hoy lloramos su partida porque la amamos profundamente. Pero también damos gracias a Dios por el privilegio de haberla conocido, de haberla amado, de haber reído con ella, orado junto a ella y compartido con ella una parte de este camino llamado vida.

Descansa en paz, Candida.

Que el Señor que te acompañó durante tu camino en esta tierra te reciba ahora en Su abrazo eterno.

Tu amor permanecerá con nosotros, tu memoria vivirá entre nosotros y tu luz continuará brillando a través de cada vida que tocaste.
