Carol Christine Bolgrin ( Mielke )
December 25, 1938 - November 28, 2020
Carol Bolgrin was called home to be with the Lord on November 28, 2020, with family at her side, just weeks after being
diagnosed with a brain tumor. Carol was born on December 25, 1938 in Portage Wisconsin. She had lived 47 years of her
life with her husband Raymond in Big Bend Wisconsin, and in 2015 they moved to Dallas Georgia. Carol is preceded in death
by her father Clarence Mielke, mother Vurla Mielke, brother Lawrence, sister Thressa (Millard), husband Raymond, and
sister Jeanette (Olson).
Carol leaves behind her Son Todd (Karen) Bolgrin of Newcastle Oklahoma, Daughter Jennifer (John) Starck of Douglasville
Georgia, Grandchildren Samantha (Avery) Williams, Nicholas Dassow, Corey (Eliya) Bolgrin, Step Grandchildren Jacob and
Rebecca Starck, (5) Great Grandchildren, as well as other beloved Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and her close friends.
Carol was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. Worked as a dietician for many years at Marshall
Fields, as well as other jobs throughout the years, and ending with Boston Store in Brookfield Wisconsin. She also was
an accomplished Oil Painter, selling numerous paintings throughout the upper Midwest as well as some in Georgia.
She won many awards for her artwork. She belonged to the League of Milwaukee Artists, serving as Chairman for 5 years,
and belonged to the Wisconsin Regional Art Association, serving as Chairman and President for 5 years. She also was a
member of the Paulding Fine Arts Association of Dallas, Georgia and Rockmart Cultural Arts Center of Rockmart, Georgia.
Carol enjoyed golfing in her younger days and always had a passion for playing cards, whether Bridge Club with friends or
neighbors, just playing a game of cards for fun with family. Carol will be dearly missed by many, for her smile, her big
hugs, her love, and her humor.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no service at this time, and memorial services are tentatively planned for the summer
of 2021, where her ashes will be laid to rest alongside her late husband in Portage Wisconsin, at the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Jennifer, I was not able to meet your mother, but I do send my sincere condolences to you, and the other family members. May your mom’s legacy live on in the beauty in her artwork and may we know that she is well in the everlasting arms of God.
Carol, I miss you neighbor. You were a sweet friend. I know I will see you again one day, and we will dance in Heaven. I’m happy to have met your family.
I just saw this for the first time. Carol was a lovely lady and welcomed me with open arms.I am sorry to learn of this, Todd.
