Charlene Nita Frederic, 84, went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2019. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents Charles Asbury King, Juanita Christian King and sister Wanda Faye King. She is survived by the love of her life Edgar Frederic.
Charlene and Ed loved traveling and visited Hawaii, Switzerland, Germany, Houston, TX, Baton Rouge, LA the beautiful Tennessee mountains, Alabama, Florida and many other places.
Charlene is survived by her loving sister Willena Williams (Roger), and will live on through her children Mark Phillips, Sandra Phillips, Scott Phillips (Laura), Dale & Tracey Thornton and Aubrey & Leslie Durr. Survivors also include her grandchildren Corey Phillips (Courtney), Cassie Wheatley (Jack), Heather Satterfield (Cody), Kristen Craig (Kaleb), Natalie Thornton, Naomi Thornton, Lauren Durr, Madeline Durr and eight great grandchildren, Madison, Hope, Aubrey, Charlotte, Sam, Colton, Elisa and Cooper.
Charlene was a very generous, caring person who had the softest hands. She loved her husband and her family and enjoyed every moment she spent with them. She was a blessing to all and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 2:00-4:00PM until service time at 4:00PM in the Columbarium at Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill. Charlene’s son, Rev. Scott Phillips, will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain Hospice Center. Mail donations to Wellstar Foundation, 805 Sandy Plains Road, Suite 100, Marietta, GA 30066. Note that the donation is to Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain.
