Charles Shelton Sanders

Charles Shelton Sanders 1942-2016 SANDERS, Charles Shelton Sanders, 73, passed away July 12, 2016 in Marietta, Georgia. Charles was born July 21, 1942 in Hartwell, Georgia to parents Ruth Herring Sanders and Joe Brown Sanders. Charles graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelors degree in accounting. Charles spent over twenty years with the Atlanta Braves as the vice president of finance. Charles was an admired business and family man. Charles is preceded in death by mother Ruth Herring Sanders; father Joe Brown Sanders; sister Kelly Sue Sanders and brother Franklin Sanders. Charles is survived by his wife of thirty nine years Shana Sanders; his children Dana Broussard, Lana Pittman and her husband Corey Pittman; his grandchildren Jeremy Vitkus, Jamey Vitkus, Jessica Vitkus, Christien Pittman and Landon Pittman. His memorial service is planned for Thursday, August 18th at 11:00 am at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church (955 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta, GA 30068).
