Claire Ann Gordon

Claire Gordon passed away, unexpectedly, at the age of 65 on November 15, 2016. She was born in Long Beach, California on October 27th, 1951, the daughter of Irby Joseph Hurst and Elizabeth Marquette. When we think of Claire, the following words come to mind: "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal Love leaves a memory no one can steal" The essence of her life is like her favorite color, yellow– bright and unafraid of risk. She loved, she lost, she learned, she taught. Claire was a force of nature. Just as the wind chimes play a song led by the breeze, the lives she touched learned to play a song that was unique to their own. Her memory will forever live in theirs. She is survived by her three sons and one daughter: Christian Griffin (Florida), Whitney Griffin (Florida), Ronnie Griffin, Jr. (Alabama), and Quinn Gordon (Georgia). She is also survived by her three sisters: Barbara, Betty Joe, and Cathy. She was a beloved Grandmother (Nana) to Shea Gordon, Aubree Griffin, Riley Griffin, Kaiden Griffin, and Makayla Griffin.
