What Would You Like People to Remember Most
Cleve Bushey had a gift for people. Charismatic and quick to
connect, he made lifelong friends everywhere he went, and he
would go the extra mile for anyone he knew. He was a devoted
father and grandfather and an unselfish friend. To his extended
family and many others, he was also an uncle, an advisor, and a
father figure they could always turn to.
Nothing made him happier than time with his grandchildren.
He loved a good debate over coaching and player decisions,
especially in baseball, and he treasured the hours spent
reminiscing with friends about life and the events of the day.
Those who knew him will remember his warmth, his generosity,
and the way he made everyone feel like family

Bushey may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. I will always remember how he used to cook turn cornmeal and chicken for his dogs, and I couldn’t wait for him to finish cooking so I could get a bowl too. 🥰 Those are the little memories that stay with you forever.
Rest in Peace, Bushey. You will truly be missed. ❤️🙏🏽

To the Family and Friends of Cleveland Henry Bushey
March 22, 1948 – September 29, 2026
It is with profound sorrow that I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Cleveland Henry Bushey, whom I knew fondly as Cleve. His passing is a deeply felt loss, and I mourn the departure of a valued colleague and cherished friend.
Although Cleve and I both left high school and began our employment with The Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Ltd. in 1967, our paths did not cross until 1995, when we worked together at Scotiabank’s Atlanta Agency. There, I came to know and respect him as an excellent team leader—dedicated, hardworking, and deeply committed to his responsibilities. He maintained very good relationships with his coworkers, and I remember with gratitude the professionalism and collegial spirit he brought to our working lives.
Following our retirement, our friendship continued through regular luncheons, exchanges on social media, and meaningful biblical discussions. Those occasions became a treasured part of our friendship, and the memory of our conversations will remain with me.
To his family (Margaret/ Caseta/ Marvin/ Christopher & Michelle Bushey) and all who loved him, please accept my deepest sympathy. I share in your grief and pray that God will sustain you through this painful time, granting you comfort, strength, and peace. May the love you shared with Cleve, and the memories you hold dear, bring consolation in the days ahead.
I will always remember Cleve with enduring affection, respect, and gratitude.
May he rest in peace.

God has a plan for us all 💕- Trust Him.
May HE continue to bless you as only He can!
Meanwhile, peace, love and best to all.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of a truly wonderful soul, Cleva. Having been a family friend since childhood, he brought so much warmth, laughter, and joy into all of our lives.
He shared an unmatched bond with my deceased brother, Kingsley, and seeing him stand proudly as the best man at the wedding is a memory our family will forever cherish. It was a beautiful testament to a lifelong friendship that meant the absolute world to us and subsequently to Kingsley’s son Andrew who has had several conversations with Cleva.
During this incredibly difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his beloved wife and all of his children. May you find comfort in each other and in the beautiful legacy of love he leaves behind. We regret that, due to previous commitments we are unable to be with you on this solemn occasion. However, please know that our family is standing by you in your grief, and we are here to support you in any way you need as you navigate the days ahead. You should also know that we are poorer for his passing but heaven is richer for having him there.
Cleva, you will be deeply missed but be assured, there is hope that we will meet again on that beautiful golden shore.
Rest in peace, dear friend.
