David Lee Haygood, 63, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2026. Born on April 21, 1963, David lived a life centered around family, friendship, and making memories with those he loved most

David was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His family was the heart of his life, and he found his greatest happiness in spending time with them. Whether gathered around a cookout, enjoying a game of cards, or sharing stories and laughter, David treasured every moment with his loved ones.

He had a passion for drag racing and enjoyed the excitement and community that came with it. David was known for his warm spirit, love of family gatherings, and the joy he brought to those around him.

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melissa Rogers Haygood; his brother, Derek T. Haygood; and his parents, Grady and Alice Haygood

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Vicki Haygood; his children, Chris, Elizabeth, and Keely, his grandchildren, Destiny, Meagan, Ella, Deston, David, Devon, and Alissa; and his great-grandchildren, Thomas, Aurora, Kyrin, and Ashton.

He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Allison Rogers and Derek Haygood Jr., along with their children, as well as many extended family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

David’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and dedication to family. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
