Deanna Miller

December 24, 1962 ~ November 27, 2020

On Friday, November 27, 2020, Deanna Marie Miller, Loving mother of 2 children and 3 grandchildren, passed away at the age of 57. Deanna was born on December 24, 1962 in Ridgewood, NJ to the late Thomas Maddox and Carolyn Alexander. Deanna's passion was for cooking and caring for her family. She never passed up the chance to experience a good time or a good Denzel movie. She enjoyed the company of Whitney Houston on the radio, while flexing her green thumb and watching her houseplants flourish. Deanna was preceded in death by her Grandmother and "mother to all," Louise Hamilton, her father Thomas and mother Carolyn. She is survived by her 2 children, Javon and Shakeera, her 3 grandchildren, Amani, Elijah and Jaiden and several brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all. Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life's been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch, Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
