Domenico Carlo Giannattasio, 'Don Carle'

Domenico Carlo Giannattasio, 76, of Brookhaven, died September 6, 2014 at Saint Joseph's Hospital with family by his side following an extended illness. Don was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 5, 1938 to the late Ralph and Mary Giannattasio. He graduated from Lanier High School in Macon where he grew up. Don was best known for his work with Radio Stations, WKLS and WPCH (Peach 95) where he served for many years as the stations Local Sales Manager. In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his son, Jason Landon Giannattasio. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 yrs, Karen E. Giannattasio of Brookhaven; daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Russell Hinson of Birmingham AL; son, Damon Giannattasio; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Deborah Giannattasio of Kathleen, GA, other relatives and numerous loving friends. A Rosary service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in the Chapel of Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill. The family will also receive friends on Tuesday the 9th, at the Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to service time. Private interment services will be held on Wednesday at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Don's behalf to the Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary at www.noahs-ark.org or mail a donation to 712 L.G.   11. Don created a position for me when I arrived in Atlanta as he believed in me to succeed for team. He was honest ethical man in radio and succeeded wvere others did not. He further supported my dreams to move into sports. Don is the reason my sports career started. Truly grateful to him as a mentor and a dear friend forever grateful
