Mr. Don was always joyful, helpful and friendly! While my girls were growing up in Christine’s studio they always considered him to be their dance grandpa! ❤️❤️❤️
Donald is our only cousin on the Rabideau side of the family. He was a bit older than us, we did not see him a lot growing up. But when I was in nursing school on Ogdensburg Donald was there also I think manger of a store., he brought me a cake for my birthday. Also I bought the first Beatles album at the store. My friends and I would go to the store and I would see him. I had sat back and tried to remember some of the things I remember about Donald, how he always called me Janie.
Donald and I went to the same High School, a boys school, the teachers were almost all Catholic Brothers, we we were together we would talk about what Brothers were still there, there was a large difference in our ages but there were some of the same Brothers, we would laugh about some of the old Brothers there were there for both of us. He really enjoyed talking about the old days ay the Mount. Once in awhile usually with my Dad we would stop at their apartment on Bailey Ave in Plattsburgh and visit Aunt Yvonne was so nice, with my Mother we would stop in Merkel’s Dept store in downtown Plattsburgh and see Aunt Yvonne, she worked in the children’s department on the second floor. When Donald was in the Navy we would visit them at Aunt Yvonnes apartment. I will always remember how happy Aunt Yvonne was to see us. She had a great smile, Donald had that same great smile. I miss them, never realize how much until someone is gone.
