Dorothy Bell Byrd age 87 of Cochran Mill rd Palmetto, died July 07,2013 at Azalea Assisted Estates inFayetteville. She was born in 1925 in East Point Ga and was the daughter of the late Thomas land Susan Bell. She was the wife of William E. Byrd.Dorothy was member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter Kathy Jones Newnan, son and daughter in law David& Kim Byrd Fayetteville, daughter and son in law Jane& Ben Chapman Baton Rouge La sister Ruth Richardson Palmetto, and sister Barbara Prater East Point. Grandchildren Lorri & Jeff King Baton Rouge La, Larry & Mary Chapman Baton Rouge La,Clint & Karen Chapman Baton Rouge La,Rob & Wendy Chapman Baton Rouge La, Allie Byrd Tampa Fla,Ben Byrd Fayetteville, James Byrd Fayettville 7 great grandchildren , several neices and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Dorothy Bell Byrd will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home Rev. Dusty Wammack will off. Internment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Tuesday evening from 5pm till 7.30pm at the funeral home.
