After discharge worked in civil
service for one year as the assistant to the naval ophthalmologist surgeon. During her four year career she spent many hours in the eye surgery OR with the doctor and loved it. She was so loved and honored by all she worked for there that when her military enlistment was complete they hired her back on as a civilian while she waited for her husband John Buren Edmondson to finish out his enlistment. Lori and John were married on the naval base and divorced after 23 years. They have two children and three grandchildren together who are all survived by her today. She had a love and natural gift for gardening and created a very large, beautiful flower and plant garden at home. This was her bliss along with the love and care for her many dogs over the years which she made the garden their resting place by making a sacred cemetery where she would sit and an enjoy their memories. Lori Edmondson was a bright beautiful light in this world who touched the lives of many. A fiery natural red head who was strong, intelligent, witty and fun. Gifted with strong intuition, a good and loyal friend and wife, and most of all a mother of two who instilled strong values of integrity, patriotism and love that will live on as her legacy through them. She will be missed and loved by her husband, children and all who were touched by meeting or knowing her true essence in this world. In
the end she claimed her peace to go meet the Lord where she will truly live in the glory of heaven forever.

The last 4 weeks here in GA caring for my Mother while at home in hospice has been the most healing and rewarding moment with here in my life. It truly was God ordained and I am forever grateful to have been blessed to be here with her and honored to serve her in this way. I will miss her presence and trust she is the kingdom of heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. In the end I witnessed her peace and it was beautiful… I love you Mom, thank you for being my Mother!
