Emelyne Cadet

April 13, 1950 ~ December 31, 2020

Emelyne Cadet was born in Arcahaie, Haiti on April 13, 1950. As a child, she would best be described as prissy and competitive. She loved to excel in school and always competed to be at the top of her class. Her mother and her siblings played a very important role in her upbringing which stems from her love and adoration of her family. Many years later Emelyne migrated to the United States with the assistance of her husband, Marcel Simervil. She pursued a career as a Retail Manager and raised her three beautiful children; Evens, Marie-Lucita, and Magdaline. Once her children became independent and moved on and had families of their own, Emlelyne decided to leave her family in New York to help raise her grandchildren in Georgia. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She assisted with raising her grandchildren, attended their school games, and blew out candles with them every birthday celebration. Emelyne was a lover of life and a devout Catholic. She always volunteered in her community and assisted anyone who needed a helping hand. She had a jubilant personality that touched the heart of many people. Emelyne was granted her angel wings on December 31, 2020. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Although her life would seem too short to many, those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Emelyne Cadet is survived by her children Evens Pierre Cadet and his wife Suzanne Cadet Pilet, Marie Lucita Simervil, Magdaline Simervil-Ware and her husband Ricardo Utique Ware. Grandchildren: Nedji Malusca Cadet, Juliana Magdaline Cadet, Juvens Cadet, Jedeline St. Nophat, Diane Pierre-Louis, Luvensky Y. Pierre-Louis, Wilson Donovan Simervil and Olivia Aaliyah Simervil. Siblings: Athanase Sylvain, Onine Sylvain, Jacqueline Sylvain Boulors Sylvain, Michaelle Etienne, Julio Etienne and Jacques Etienne plus several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
