Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Emma Jane Lee was born on May 31st, 2021, and she went home to be with Jesus on June 4, 2021 while cuddled up in her mother’s arms. She was only 4 days old and knew nothing but love.
Emma is the daughter of Patrick and Haley Lee of Cartersville, Georgia. In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by her big sister, Brynnleigh Kelley, and little sister, Ryleigh Lee, who is also her twin sister of Cartersville, Georgia; her paternal grandparents, Jimmy Lee II and Gina Lee of Rome, Georgia; her maternal grandparents, Jeff and Machelle Mann of Dallas, Georgia; Aunts and Uncles, Shannon and Kristy Millsap, Travis and Savannah Mann, and Lauren Lee; Great grandmothers, Sherry Paul, Lenore Buice, and Ann Kilgore; Great grandfathers Ray Paul and Jimmy R Lee I, along with many other friends and family who love and miss her more than words can say.
The pain her parents feel is unreal. You can never prepare yourself to hold your child as you feel their last breath leave their body, but they would feel it all over again and endure it every day of their lives because in the words of Emma’s mother:
“Without this pain, we would have never known her. We would have never met her. Never felt her little kicks in my belly. Never heard her heart beat. Never heard her sweet cry. Never held her hand. Never felt her hold onto our fingers. Never changed her diaper. Never let her have my milk. But we did all of those things. We are so blessed to have spent four whole days with her before she went home to be with Jesus. While it wasn’t nearly long enough, it is more than some people get, and for that, we are blessed. Mommy and Daddy love you forever, our sweet angel.”
“And to think the first time you opened your tiny beautiful eyes, the first thing you saw was the face of Jesus.”
The family would like to thank the loving staff at Kennestone Hospital NICU for taking such amazing care of Emma during her short time here on Earth. They would also like to thank everyone for their continued support and prayers during this heartbreaking time.
A memorial service will be held at a later date once the hearts of her parents are ready.
