Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Ernest Troglin was a wonderful man with a loving spirit. He loved to fish and hunt. Fishing was a passion he enjoyed most days. He has one daughter, Teresa Burger. Three grandchildren, Chelsea Gibson, Devon Burger, and Dakota Burger. And two great-grandchildren, Cordelia & Chandler Gibson. He is survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother, Norma Owen, Luci Warren, Janie Imbriano, Christine Kent, and Gene Troglin. He will be deeply missed, but everyone that came in contact will forever be changed just by knowing him and his love!

‘Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.’
‘My condolences
May all who knew and loved your dear loved one, please find comfort in knowing that”God will wipe away the tears from your eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be any more the former things have passed away.”‘
‘I hope and trust this is the same Ernest Troglin that I served with on the Coast Guard Cutter Westwind from 1961-1963. If this is him, my condolences to the family. Ernest was a great buddy/shipmate. I lived in Philadelphia, Pa. so just a couple of hours from the Brooklyn Naval Yard where the Westwind was docked. Since we were good buddies, and he lived in Eligay, GA back in the 60’s, I asked him to come home with me and we had great fun in Philly and introduced him to friends of mine. If this is the same Ernest, my one regret is that we didn’t keep in touch and visit each other after our enlistment ended in 1965. Ernest was a good guy, we went out on liberty in New York City, and in other ports the Westwind went… Recently, because I am 73 years old, soon to be 74 I have been looking for old friends and shipmates that I knew from my past. I am saddened to know about Ernest death. I felt I needed to write to the family if this was indeed my same shipmate buddy….If you will I’d appreciate it if you would send back a short message to let me know if this Ernest was the name Ernest I knew…
Sincerely,
John Daka, QM2, United States Coast Guard’
