I’ll treasure our friendshipJune 7, 2013 To Carlton, Corin, and Naomi: I just want to let you know that your wife and mother, was a wonderful friend and colleague to me and many others. There are no words that I can say to ease the pain you are feeling now with her gone. Just know that I and the rest of your family and friends will be there if you need anything. When we met at Osborne High School, we instantly became friends from the moment we said “hello”. We talked about the unusual and unique name of hers. She also had that wonderful smile and gave great hugs! Fabayann was truly a caring and compassionate teacher. When she was on medical leave, she always asked how the students in her classes were doing. Always showing her thoughtfulness and concern. Faye and I always talked, laughed and had fun when we were together, whether at school, at the tennis courts or just socializing at home. We enjoyed meeting at the Atlanta Bread Company restaurant to discuss plans or just to get away for a while to talk. Our friendship developed at Osborne and we later coached the girl’s tennis team. Faye was a great head coach; she always gave the team strategic tips, encouragement and she would ask the team captain Octavia to say a prayer before the matches. A very strong and close bond was formed with the entire tennis team. I am happy that Fabayann entered my life and touched many others; she will always remain in my heart. May God bless you and keep you strong. Your friend in Christ, Patricia A. Johnson
Carlton, with deep sympathy we are sorry to hear about your wife. May God;s comfort be with you and your family.
Our prayers and God’s grace goes out to the McQueen family, we have some very fond memories of our family gatherings.
