Floyd Dale Rainwater

June 24, 1952 ~ July 23, 2026

Mr. Floyd Dale Rainwater, of Stockbridge, passed from this life to life eternal at the age of 74 on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at his home.

Dale was born on June 24, 1952, in Atlanta, the son of the late Hugh Dorsey Rainwater and Dollie Duncan Rainwater.

Dale attended Campbell High School in Fairburn. He was married to the love of his life, Vickie Acree Rainwater, for 53 years, and together they built a life and raised their daughter, Amanda. Dale enjoyed visiting the mountains, especially Cades Cove, where he loved witnessing God’s creation. He also enjoyed collecting eagles and knives. Mr. Rainwater worked as an automotive parts salesman from his late teens throughout his adult life. He enjoyed his career and the daily interactions with his customers, where he was known for his dedication and genuine care for the people he served. His greatest joy came from his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Fayette County, where he served as song leader for many years. Dale remained deeply connected to his family and the many friends he loved.

Dale is survived by his wife, Vickie Acree Rainwater of Stockbridge; daughter, Amanda Ford (Matthew) of Senoia; sister, Beverly June Robinson of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; brothers, Hugh Rainwater of Douglasville, Roger Rainwater (Jane) of Villa Rica, Terry Rainwater (Cookie) of Hogansville, and Stan Rainwater (Wilthea) of Conyers; and many nieces and nephews.
