Frank Thomas Alleva

January 16, 1934 ~ May 27, 2021

Frank Thomas Alleva, a retired corporate executive and business owner of Atlanta, Georgia passed away peacefully on May the 27th 2021 at the age of 87. His death was precipitated by a prolonged and valiant effort against Covid-19 and, at the time of his passing, he had beat the disease yet succumbed due to complications thereafter. Frank is survived by his wife, Nancy Alleva (née Boyd); his sons Greg Alleva and Chris Alleva as well as daughter-in-law Karri; his granddaughter, Natalie Alleva; his step grandson, Liam Tyre; and his beloved feline companion Sugar. He is predeceased by his mother, Della Sterns (née Scharnagle); his father, Mario Alleva; and his stepdaughter, April Duncan. Frank was born in Philadelphia on January 16, 1934. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and achieved the rank of Airman First Class before attending William and Mary College where he studied Business Administration. After college, he began a career with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts as the youngest store manager on record and at the time of his retirement, was Senior Vice President of Operations. He, then, became the owner and operator of multiple Krispy Kreme franchise operations in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as well as two Quizno’s Sub franchises in the same area. Frank was a devoted family man who, in his later years, loved walking down by the river with his wife, enjoying nights out at local eateries, and doting on his grandchildren. He was also a problem-solver who often took on challenging and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He was a godly man who loved Jesus and took great joy and comfort in ministering to others. Not one to remain idle, he began a part time job at the Publix near his home so he could do just that. He practiced kindness and compassion for all living things, and he will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him. A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to the Atlanta Humane Society and/or the Humane Society of Cobb County. All condolences are greatly appreciated and may be left here in writing.
