Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Geoffrey Edward Pastrick (“Coach P”), born on August 14, 1976, was called home on May 10, 2020 at the age of 43 surrounded by his immediate family. Geoff was born in St. Joseph, Michigan and graduated in 1999 from Texas State with a BS in exercise science. He went into coaching in 2000 and that is where his love for impacting young men started. He coached at several high schools in both the Austin, Texas area and in the Marietta, Georgia area and was known not only for being a fierce competitor but also for teaching young boys to be great young men both on and off the field. He took his passion to a new level in 2017 and opened the first offensive line-only training facility on the east coast (Prime Athlete Development).
Most importantly, Geoff loved hard. He was married for 19 years to his wife Heather. He loved spending time fishing for bass, watching college football, spoiling their dog, and spending time outside in the sun with his family whether at home, at the lake, or any ball field - especially Wrigley Field in Chicago!
He took the fight with cancer on like a true super hero! He was so passionate about helping others and giving back that he, his wife, and his sister and brother-in-law started a non profit foundation to help benefit the patients and families affected by cancer. Primed2Fight was born in 2019 with the mission to give back. His family and friends will now carry on that legacy on his behalf.
He is survived by his wife, Heather S. Pastrick; his mom, Julianna Dongvillo Countess; his dad, Samuel Countess; his father, Edward J. Pastrick; his sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie Pastrick Parker and Bryan Parker; his three nephews, Connor, Brandon and Kyle Parker; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sandy Sutherland-Burton and Col. Don Burton; his sister and brother-in-law, Phil and Holly Rowlette; and his niece and nephew, Gracie and Grant Rowlette. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Doris Dongvillo, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Due to covid and the safety of the community we will be doing a celebration at a later date. In Lieu of flowers we are asking you to honor Geoff and his legacy by making a donation to Primed2Fight at www.primed2fight.org.

Heather and family, our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sending virtual hugs! The Mullins Family – Jeremy, Destinee and Mallory
I met Geoff when he was hired at Canyon Vista Middle School. The moment I met him, I knew he was a special man. Fortunately, the next year he was hired at Westwood High School. Our son, Chad would spend the next 3 years of his football career as well as Spring track with Geoff as a coach. I watched their relationship grow from coach and mentor into Chad feeling Geoff was the brother he never had. Geoff and Heather followed Chad’s college football career traveling to games in Tennessee, Alabama and Florida. Geoff was a positive influence on so many young men as a mentor, teacher and friend. You will be missed, Geoff. 💚
I wish to express my deepest sympathies to HP and family. I had met HP at NorthSide Hospital while caring for my brother Dawson Brookes. May God give you strength at this time. You were a dedicated caretaker of your husband. My prayers are with you at this time.
Not only was Geoff an inspiration to many many young men. He was an inspiration to me as coach and as a man. His players would run through the wall for him. He got the BEEF to really believe in each other. Anyone who can get people to believe in each other is a GENIUS in my opinion. I love you and will always keep you in my heart.
I loved him like a son, I loved the way he smiled with his eyes, and I loved the hugs he gave. He is the most courageous man I know! Geoff’s other Mom
I am thankful for the short few years and fun moments in which I got to know Geoff. Glad I had the privilege to meet an all in all good dude.
