George Elmer Bell

Mr. George Elmer Bell, 67, of Fairburn, Ga. passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010. He is the son of the late Elmer Bell and Peggy Bell. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife: Merita Bell; children: Shayla Bell and Gwendolyn Mathis; brother: Pierre Bell; and grandchildren: Derrick Mathis with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Services honoring Mr. Bell will be held at Open Word Christian Ministries 6250 HWY 92 Fairburn, Ga. 30213, October 30, 2010 at 1:00pm with Rev. Gary Taylor officiating. Interment will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.   1. Sgt Bell trained us in Fort Hood Texas then went to Nam with us. Everyone and I mean everyone had great respect for Sgt bell in the heavy weapons plt. I’m so happy I got to met sgt Bell and his wife at our 1st and 50th reunion in fort Benning My condolence to his family and may god bless. Harley Mick Hawkins

George served with our Army Infantry Unit in Vietnam and was extremely well respected and loved by not only his former Platoon members…but all who came to know him through our fraternal organization.
