Gracelyn Christopher,

To Dale and his family,
So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I’m sure that he was a wonderful and good father and grandfather and great-grandfather to all. Cherish all of the memories you have of him… 🙂
Love from Lisa and Donald Lord, Jr.
I never met Mr. Christopher but do know his daughter Pam. She is a Proverbs 31:10-31 lady, and from seeing how she has lived her life, that makes me know he had to have been an outstanding father and role model. Prayers for peace at this difficult time. Jean Friley
I remember when he and his family used to go to church with us in Marietta. His youngest son, Tom, lived with us for about 6 months last year in high school.
So glad I got to share Dad’s last moments here on earth with him. As I told him ” This is not goodbye but see you later…” I have peace knowing that I will be with him again, but my heart aches knowing that I will not be able to spend time with him down here on earth. I will miss holding his hand, hearing his voice, kissing his sweet checks and laughing and joking around with him. I can say my Dad was a very lighthearted man with a great sense of humor, but I don’t know if he knew how much he made us laugh. My Dad was old school living in a modern political correct society. What a hoot my dad was. A memory that comes to mind is a time in Denali National Park Alaska when we as a family were on a bus touring the park we came upon a she bear and her cubs playing in an open field. The bus driver made everyone “Be Silent!” he did not want to “upset the bears”. My Dad, being hard hearing and sitting in the back of the bus did not hear the bus driver’s request When everyone was quiet he said in a LOUD voice” John Christopher, HAVE YOU EVER EATEN BEAR BEFORE? I HAVE…” us girls, we just look at one another and laughed while the others on the bus just looked at each other in shock. What fun times we had in Alaska, great memories. I will hold on to the great memories and thank God for 50 years I had to spend with Dad.I will never forget one of our last days together he reached up patted my cheek with his hand and with sincerity in his eyes said ” I Love you” and I know he truly did, and I hope he knew how much I truly loved him. I will miss you Dad…until we meet again.
This amazing man became my grandpa 22 years ago when I married his grandson, Kennon. It always made me feel good to be around him. He impressed me with his carefree and whimsical spirit. He had 9 children but he never seemed rattled. Grandpa also had a deep passion for the Lord. He made a direct impact on how we would raise our children and how we also wanted a quiver full. We gave him 4 of his great grandchildren that were able to spend time with him and see who he was. His values and love will continue to live on through his family and those he touched so deeply. My husband is a better man for having him in his life. We love you Grandpa. Laure
