Mrs. Georgia Alta Cardin, age 91, of College Park, GA died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Metropolitan Hospice in Marietta, GA. She was born in Chattanooga, TN daughter of the late Samuel Joseph Garfield Helton and the late Bettie Helton. She was the widow of Ben Henry Cardin. She was also preceded in death by son, Arthur E. Cardin. She is survived by son Ricky H. Cardin of Marietta, GA, daughters: Burma Farmer of Stockbridge, GA, Margie Knowles of Mineral Bluff, GA, 10 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Georgia Alta Cardin will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Tony Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family from 1 till 2 PM on Friday, November 18, 2011 from 1 till 2 PM at the funeral home. We were in school together, and went to the Welcome All church. I want you to know how sorry I am that you have lost your Mom. I know the pain, cause I lost my Mom 5 1/2 years ago.
