Ms. Georgia Willie Taylor was born on May 24, 1941, in Senoia Ga. to the late Rufus and Mattie Mae Taylor. She departed her life on October 3, 2026, at the age of 85.
She attended Central High School, where she graduated. She was employed by Southern Mills for several years, and upon retiring, she continued working at Wyndham Hotel. She also continued her work in cosmetology, serving members of her community.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Portia (Kenneth) Jordan of Fairburn, Malinda Taylor of Sharpsburg, Allison Taylor of Newnan, Katrina Woodard of Senoia, and Roxanne (Maurice) Evans of Riverdale; her brother, Jimmy Taylor of Peachtree City; her two sisters, Alice Clements of Atlanta, and Ethel (Thomas) Kay of Texas; 19 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her faith remained an important part of her life through Newnan First SDA Church, where she faithfully served in many capacities, including assisting with Pathfinders, serving as Head Deaconess, participating in Community Services, and being a powerful Prayer Warrior.
She was always willing to care for her beloved family and friends, offering her time, love, and support whenever she was needed. “Here I am, Lord, send me” was her joy and reflected the heart with which she lived and served others.
A faithful servant of the Lord, she walked by faith each day. With loving hands and a humble heart, she faithfully served along the way. She shared her love, gave her best, and trusted in God’s plan.
Her earthly work is finished now, completed by His own hands. Though we can no longer hear her loving voice or hold her hand, we hold tightly to God’s precious promise that one day, together, we shall stand.
When Jesus comes in glory and calls His children from their rest, our beloved one will rise to meet Him, blessed.
Until that glorious morning, we will cherish all that she gave—her faith, her love, and her service—and remember the beautiful life she lived.
Rest peacefully. Your service is remembered, and your faith is your legacy. We look forward to that glorious day when we will meet again, eternally.
Until We Meet Again
