Gloria settled in the Southwest ATL area after over 20 years of service and dedication to the Genessee County Prosecutors office Located in Flint, MI in which she served in the capacity of a Paralegal. During her years of service she was well known and liked. She will be missed even more that she will not be here physically as every visit to Flint she made EVERY effort to see her close work friends.
Gloria was the eldest of 11 children born to Reuben and Louise Morgan. She was born in Bluefield West VA and the family later settled in the village of Springvalley NY. Gloria attended the local high school and received a diploma. After a series of life changes, Gloria later moved to Flint Michigan and settled down with her own personal family. After completing the rearing of her 3 children, she made the decision to return to school and further her education. She completed a degree in Psychology and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Michigan. Gloria was politically astute and used her knowledge to increase awareness of others. From 1999-2001 she was Co-Host of the Access Television Black Caucus program where she shared and willingly gave knowledge and insight in the arena of politics. She was also a member of the Congressional Black Caucus in her District. Through her work with that group she was invited to attend the Clinton Inaugural Ball.
Gloria was an avid traveler known by family and friends to have visited many different countries and hot vacation spots. She was fortunate to explore Mexico, France, China, Europe and various Caribbean Islands. She absolutely LOVED cruises.
Gloria was fiercely dedicated to all her children and grandchildren. She encouraged them to be laser focused and committed to their goals. That nothing was impossible or unattainable. I was fortunate to call her my friend, coworker for over 25 years, sharing many life experiences including births, deaths, marriages, divorces, our children’s achievements and doing things as families do over years! Hi lighted by our trip to Mexico! Glo’s eyes would light up when she talked of her children! May you be comforted by your memories of her and the loved she shared with us that loved her too. I love you, Cathy(Sanders)
Gloria was my friend and Co-Worker. My prayers to her Family.
Gloria was my paralegal when I first started in the Genesee County Prosecutors Office. She was a hard worker and had a great sense of humor. It took her a little while to warm up to me but we had a lot of fun while getting a lot of work done. R.I.P. Gloria.
