Gregory “Greg” Singleton ,43, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 after a long-fought battle with cancer. He was born in Monroe, Georgia to Richard and Nancy Byce Singleton on August 28, 1974.
Greg was a simple man who enjoyed his family, friends and working on his cars. His first car, a Chevrolet Camaro and then to simpler cars, like his Green Volkswagen Beetle. He also loved to restore motorcycles and work in his garage continually!!
He loved his new house where he could spend time with his children and enjoy the rest of his life. He enjoyed working in the garage, having his garage the most organized room in the house.
He was an avionics technician for Delta Air Lines and was extremely loved by his co-workers and all who knew him. He loved working at Delta Air Lines, after being laid off by Circuit City after many years.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Tonya Huff Singleton, Dallas, GA, who was married to the boy next door, knowing each other since the 6th Grade. Three amazing young men, Jaxon, age 9, Jacob, age 17 and Jared, age 22, and a daughter Kayla, age 24. Rest In Paradise, Greg
It truly breaks my heart to hear this. May you rest in peace, Greg. ❤️

Your battle is over. Go rest in peace.
It saddens me to hear that you have gone, gone to soon. Now that you have your wings. Fly high my cousin and you will forever live in our hearts.
One of my fondest memories I have of Greg was playing paintball in the woods behind our house in Austell. We were all young, Richie and I were in our mid 20’s which would put Greg about 20 or so. Greg, Richie and myself were on one team and while playing out our wargames with a group of friends Greg would run like a gazelle through the woods to encircle the other team and come up behind them. Our team was all shocked by his speed and agility through the woods and the other team couldn’t understand how we kept surrounding them. We all laughed and laughed about this afterwards and it still makes me smile even today. It’s hard to believe he’s no longer with us but I’m thankful that I have memories of Greg that make me smile, as I’m sure you all do as well.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, we love you.

I’ve worked with Greg at Delta for the last 7 years. Our benches are only a few feet apart. We talked all of the time. It’s really hard to realize that I won’t be hearing the side door fly open at 5am and see Greg coming around the corner complaining about how cold the shop is. We talked about politics, sports, family, his VW Bug restoration, you name it. I’m really going to miss those conversations. Greg is a great guy and he is going to be greatly missed and never forgotten in our shop at Delta.
I have known Greg through our Circuit City days then we car pooled to Encompass and then we were so thrilled to have Chris Gibson help us get on at Delta Air Lines together, so the ride seems long but then when you blink it is only a moment. Greg was a good friend who loved my BBQ and my papa’s sauce. We talked many a day car pooling to Encompass everyday (1.5hr) one way but it made it manageable having him to ride with because we could always find something to talk about. When we got to Delta we could not get over how great a job we had and when we would talk it was mostly about the job or his VW he was working on with his kids. I will miss Greg. Our thoughts & prayers are with the family.
