James Edward Newton

James Edward Newton, age 72, went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia. Edward Newton is survived by his daughter, Angela Christine Smith, of Dallas, Georgia; his son, Edward Lamar (Karen) Newton, of Douglasville, Georgia; and his daughter, Patricia Lee Newton, of Lithia Springs, Georgia; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, James Lester Newton and his mother, Johnnie Lee Newton of Austell, Georgia. Edward Newton was born on April 14, 1948 in Atlanta. He worked for Sewell Plastics and Golden Gallon for many years. He led Crusaders for Christ Ministry and provided outreach to the local community. He enjoyed fishing, listening to Christian music and reading his Bible. “If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again. Since you’ll never be forgotten, I pledge to you today, a hallowed place within my heart is where you’ll always stay.” We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
