Janina Marie Valenzuela

July 6, 2005 ~ April 8, 2020

Janina Marie Valenzuela, age 14, was taken from us too soon on Thursday, April 8, 2020 in Marietta, GA. Janina entered this world on July 6, 2005 in Marietta, GA to Maria Luisa Clayton and Juan Francisco Valenzuela. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a bright light who touched everyone’s life, and a stranger to no one. She was a devoted member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. She took pride in following in her brother’s footsteps by being part of the AFJROTC at Marietta HIgh School. As an animal lover, she had hopes and aspirations to be a Veterinarian. Janina will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her smile and goofiness. A friend to all- she was brave, courageous, and always stood up for what was right. Janina is survived by her parents, Juan Franscisco and Maria Luisa; older brothers, Justin Nathaniel, Justin Richard, and Christian; older sisters, Genifer and Romarie and her cherished cat Sleepy. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and many devoted friends. We had the privilege of knowing Nina only for a short time, but she made a huge impact in this world and we will forever miss her. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Janina’s favorite charity, St. Jude. Condolences may be made by visiting www.southerncremations.com/obituaries/Janina-Marie-Valenzuela Private funeral services will be held at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.

  29. I haven’t spoken too much about Janina since her death to anyone but there is not a day were I don’t think about her and miss her she was the greatest best friend I could have asked for and I will forever miss her till my very last breath there are so many memories I can think of that we shared and how we were just kids and got to spend the time she had with me together and happily. i will forever love her and tell stories we shared together when i grow old and have kids.

  30. Nina has been on my mind heavily as of lately to the point I stopped by her grave just to talk and see her and for her to know that we still think about her. Everyday I think about her beautiful smile, her goofiness, and her surprising ability to kick a ball lol. We met when I was in 5th grade and I am now a senior getting ready to graduate in the class of 2025.I rmb when we used to play in the construction area near my house in Marietta and a ladder fell on her head leading her to have to get staples, but she didn’t cry or anything…that’s just how strong she was. I love to think about the times she would come over to my house where all the kids in the neighborhood would come because of how big our yard was and it was the best year of my life. Extremely saddening to have lost such a beautiful soul like my Nina’s. I will love you forever ❤️ LLNINA4L♥️
