Jerry Allen Pate

Jerry Allen Pate, 64, passed away on March 26th, 2020 in Dallas, Georgia. He was the husband of Brenda Sheffield Pate. They shared 27 years together. Jerry was born in Knoxville, TN on February 12, 1956 to Vreelan and Pauline “Polly” Pate. He was a dedicated employee at the Marietta Housing Authority and worked as a Lead Mechanic since 1996. He also enjoyed many years as the independent owner operator of Pate Plumbing. Jerry was a devoted father and pawpaw. He loved fishing, shooting pool, and watching baseball in his spare time. There wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t spend with family. He was a very loving, caring, and selfless man who will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Terry Lee Pate, and his sister Nedra Summers. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Pate of Dallas, GA; four brothers, Tommy (Brenda) Pate of Social Circle, GA, Larry (Jean) Pate of Smyrna, GA, Roy “RB” (Brenda) Pate of Marietta, GA, Terry Lynn of Knoxville, TN; two sisters, Teresea Gaffney of Kennesaw, GA and Patty Pate of Kennesaw, GA; four sons, Jamie (Candace) Pate of Tallapoosa, GA, Trever (Stacey) Pate of Altoona, IA, Joseph (Paige) Camp Jr. of Dallas, GA, Dustin (Nicole) Camp of Cedartown, GA; eleven grandchildren, Kayley Pate, Macy Pate, Kynzi Pate, Tyler Pate, Jenna Pate, Sebastian Camp, Roslynn Camp, Harlie Camp, Ivie Ella Camp, Jameson, Ailey; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also survive.
