Joann "Jo" Bland was born on 6/24/1946 in New Brunswick, NJ to Ruth and John Clemenok. She departed this life on March 3, 2021. Jo was a child of God and walked in faith and love. She worked in the hospitality industry and was a well known florist. She worked at New Brunswick Floral shop where her flower arrangements made the newspaper (Home News Tribune). Jo married the love of her life George Bland on 05/02/1981 after a 10 year courtship. George and Jo lived a life of funtimes and were well known. They both loved the beach and bingo. They would say it's "BB weekend" Bingo or the Beach especially if it was summertime. She made sure we spent summer days and nights at the shore. They would take Shanel to various states to attend Bingo games. Jo loved all animals; she had a parriott, turtle, bunny, cats and dogs over the years.Jo worked very hard and was dedicated to family. She was never afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what she believed in. Jo would give you the shirt off her back. She even took in foster children which is where Shanel gained a sister and brother Gwendolyn and Michael. Jo leaves to cherish precious memories, her beloved daughter Shanel Parks and favorite son-in-law Jamal Parks; her second love Eugene Torres; her 3 grandson's (which where her everything) Alijah, Tahmir and Jamal Jr; 3 granddaughters by marriage, Ny-vasia, Tatiana, Janessa; sister Lynn and brother Clem and a host of great grandchildren and other relatives and family and her dog Chiquita. Jo was predeceased by her parents and her son Peter. Thank you!
