Joann Kathleen Frederick Mull

May 12, 1940 ~ December 18, 2018

Joann was born in 1940 in Hamilton, Ohio and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1959. She completed X-ray Technology Training and Certification in Cincinnati, OH. Later with three of her fellow classmates decided to venture to warmer California in 1964 and was the only one that stayed on and became a Senior X-ray Tech at South Bay Hospital in Redondo Beach. In 1971 at a 4th of July party Joann met her future husband of 46 years, James D. Mull and they were married on May 5th 1973 in Redondo Beach. Their son Timothy James was born on December 31st 1974 in Torrance, CA. Joann transitioned to a full time mother going to soccer, baseball and participated in a lot of crafts with neighbors and friends. A later move in 1983 to Mission Viejo, CA gave rise to a new group of friends and opportunity to add to the painting, pottery and sewing she had started. She moved with Jim to Woodstock, GA in 1993 for his new employment at Lockheed in Marietta, GA. She joined the Towne Lake Newcomers to find new friends and fellow crafters. After volunteering to provide transportation for the Atlanta Olympics she was appointed to support the French contingent. She enjoyed going to the events and got to sit with the French Team at the Olympic Closing Ceremonies. Joann made a lot of friends along her moves, genealogy research and travels to Great Britain, France, Italy, Ireland, Canada, and Alaska along with a Viking River cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam. Joann and Jim also had many trips to some of the key sights in the US including skiing at Mammoth Mountain in California and Whistler Mountain in BC Canada. Joann was preceded in death by her mother Ignatia Spracio Frederick and father Russell J. Frederick both of Hamilton, OH. She is survived by her husband of 46 years James D. Mull, her son Timothy Mull his wife Elizabeth Mull and two grandsons Jacob and Nathan who reside in Woodinville, WA. After cremation Joann will be buried in St. Stephens Cemetery in Hamilton, OH along with her parents.
