John Cain Humphries

John Cain Humphries passed away peacefully at Wellstar Cobb, June 21, 2021 at the age of 66. He was born on February 15, 1955. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Cain Humphries. John is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Susan Willis Humphries, adoring daughter, Jennifer Cain Humphries and his beloved father, John Thomas Humphries. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Ellen and Don Bracewell and numerous family members on both sides of the family. John was a native of Atlanta and graduated from Ridgeview High School in 1973. He graduated from Furman University in 1977 and was proud to be a third generation Furman Paladin and also a member of Delta Beta Chi. John worked for Delta Airlines for over 28 years. He worked at SITA for 10 years until he retired in 2017. He was a member of Mt. Zion UMC for 35 years. John is lovingly remembered for his kindness, loyalty, humor and love of music. A memorial service will be held on July 17th at 1:30 pm at Mt. Zion UMC, 1770 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, GA. 30062, reception to follow in the Family Life Center.
