John Charles McAtee

John C. McAtee Sr., age 69, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday January 17, 2021. John is survived by his Wife Debra L. McAtee of 49 years of marriage. Sons- Michael and Joseph McAtee. Daughters- Chrissy Mitchell and Kaitlyn Jongema. Daughter-in-law Stephanie A. McAtee and Son-in-law Austin Jongema. All his Grand Children, Michael Jr., Brayden McAtee, Jacob Mitchell, Jackson McAtee, Jameson, Brantley and Kalleigh Jongema. Also, Granddaughter in-law Breanna McAtee. John is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Charles and Christine McAtee, Sister Bessie Saelens, Brother Timothy McAtee and Son John C. McAtee Jr. John was born in Macon, GA on February 12, 1951 and moved to Florida then graduated from Hollywood Hills High School. He got a bachelor degree in management at Miami-Dade County Community College. He was a devoted catholic, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a great carpenter. He also enjoyed going camping and taking pictures. A funeral is scheduled for Monday January 25, 2021 from 2pm to 5pm with a reception to be determined.
