John F. Kleinz III

On October 25, 2020, John F. Kleinz III died unexpectedly in Marietta, GA. He was 71 years old. John is survived by his daughter, Victoria Jane of Marietta, GA, beloved grandson Evan J. Speer of Powder Springs, GA, Evan's grandmother Pamela K. of Marietta, brother Michael P. Kleinz of Havertown, PA, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John F. Jr. and Agnes Kleinz and brother Gary W. Kleinz. John was born on September 13, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Haverford High School in 1968 and went on to attend The Pennsylvania State University where he graduated in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in Social Science. John had a successful career working in the insurance industry first as an underwriter and later as an insurance broker for large property and casualty insurers. He retired in 2008. John was a passionate golfer and traveled extensively playing PGA courses. Among his fondest memories were the times he played Pebble Beach, CA and the Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. His other sports interests were rooting for Penn State and Philadelphia Eagles football and the Atlanta Braves. John will be remembered by his family and many friends for his sense of humor, witty quips and funny observations. He is also remembered as a kind, courteous, generous, and compassionate man. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Funeral services are not planned at this time due to the COVID 19 pandemic but will be held in Pennsylvania at a date to be determined.
