In Loving Memory of John Wesley Hunter II
John Wesley Hunter II, affectionately known by all who knew him as “Wesley,” passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2026, in the City of South Fulton, Georgia, at the age of 39. His sudden loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
Wesley entered the world on December 11, 1986, in Atlanta, Georgia, bringing immense joy to his parents. He grew up learning from the best, and just like his father before him, Wesley became a master of his craft in electrical and HVAC systems. He was a true jack-of-all-trades who could do a little bit of everything, approaching every technical challenge with skill and ingenuity.
Beyond his hard work, Wesley’s absolute greatest joy was his family. He loved nothing more than to go, do, and see things with them, constantly creating lasting memories. Whether he was out by the water doing what he loved most-fishing—or indulging in his well-known passion for shoes, Wesley lived life with an active, vibrant spirit.
Wesley leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his beloved wife, Hayley Hunter (Brown). Wesley was the proud father of his firstborn son, Jonathan Hunter and firstborn daughter Isabelle Coleman. Together, Wesley and Hayley shared four beautiful children: their daughters, Stefanie Hunter and Sophia Hunter, and their sons, Silas Hunter and Stephen Hunter. He is also survived by his bonus daughter, Emily Johnson, and her little girl, Maggie, who held a special place in his heart.
Wesley’s memory will be forever treasured by his loving mother, Sheri Hunter (Hunt), and his dear grandmother, Laverne Hunt (Young).
He was reunited in peace with his beloved father, Jerry Hunter, who preceded him in death. Wesley also leaves behind a host of heavily impacted aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends who will deeply feel the weight of this unfortunate and untimely loss.
Wesley will be remembered as a dedicated family man, a master craftsman, and a bright presence whose love for his family defined his life.
