Guestbook

  1. My Aunt Josie was the epitome of class, elegance, beauty, and grace. She had the softest, most comforting voice and I never once heard her raise it. She had the rare quality of always seeing the best in situations and in people. When I think of her, the word “lovely” always comes to mind. Every time I smell Chanel #5, or or see a perfect pink rose..I will think of my sweet Aunt Josie. She was surely an angel on Earth.

  2. Caring, graceful, kind, gentle, generous, tenderhearted, loving, and full of goodness, are just some of the words that immediately come to me when I think about my sweet Aunt Josie. I will always have such wonderful memories of her and Uncle Doyle coming to see us in West Virginia. While they lived fairly far away, they came to see us often. I would anxiously wait for them to pull into my grandparent’s driveway. Aunt Josie would bring me the most thoughtful little toys and gifts and would want to know every detail of my life. And I actively listened as she caught me up on her life in that distinctive, soft, pleasant voice. She was lovely in every way. I am immensely thankful I had the opportunity to see her one last time last weekend and while I won’t be making it back to Marietta for the service, I too will celebrate the splendid life she lived so fully. She made my life better just by being in it and I will always remember with love and light, my sweet Aunt Josie.

  3. Harry so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. Tried calling several times, but no response. We had many good years together at BellSouth. Your dad and mom were such lovely people. They loved my son also. Shared many memories. She would always bring me hickory nuts from West Virginia. Loved her very much. Judy Wilson
